Jerix's Weyr

As you walk out of the weyrleaders' wing, you make your way to a wing where every weyr has a view of the weyrlake. Walking to the last door, you peek in and see a boy, about 16 Turns with red hair and blue eyes, staring off the dragon ledge. Where is your dragon? You ask, forgetting he didn't know you were there.
He practically jumped off the ledge. "Don't scare me like that! And my dragon, well, I don't have one yet. I'm a candidate at Draconia Weyr. Yes, a candidate. Never thought the day would come. Anyway, what brings you here?"
Oh nothing really. I'm just wandering. What is your name?
"My name's Jerix. Apprentice Harper, I am. Proud of it, too, but I'd much rather be a dragonrider!"
I understand. You look a bit around the weyr. The wall opposite where Jerix is standing has a rather small bed, and two tapestries of dragons on each side. The wall where the entrance is has a large desk, covered with hides and writing utensils. The wall opposite that has a dragon couch, a little dusty from no use. You have quite a large weyr.
"Yes, I know. I feel lucky to get it. Hopefully I'll have something large to fill it, too." Jerix says, smiling. "Like I said, I would really love to Impress. It would mean all of Pern to me."
I feel the same way. Unfortunatly, I'm just a traveler, so... You shrug. Suddnely there is a loud growl, or grumbling sound, coming from near Jerix. What in Pern was that?
Jerix grins sheepishly. "My stomach." He whispers. "I didn't have any breakfast- woke up to late."
You smile broadly. Go have something to eat, then. I just stopped by the Dining Hall and they had just made some meat rolls...
Jerix is pretty much out of the weyr as you finish you sentence, yelling back a "Come see me again!".
I will. You say quietly, I will.
